[manjaro-dev] Behaviour of 'manjaro-system'

I'm in the process of updating a laptop that hasn't been updated for a
few months.

How does 'manjaro-system' deal with this? Does it perform a cumulative
set of changes, or only those since the last version of 'manjaro-system'?
