Your issue must be something else:

[phil at manjaro extra]$ readelf -a /usr/bin/grub-probe | grep Shared
 0x0000000000000001 (NEEDED)             Shared library:
[libdevmapper.so.1.02]
 0x0000000000000001 (NEEDED)             Shared library: [libc.so.6]

However you can install the package 'libudev0' to fix it ...
