[manjaro-general] [Stable Update] 2018-01-12 – Kernels, Microcodes, Nvidia, Firefox, Boost, Cleanup

[![system_software_update][1]][1]Hi community,

we updated once more some of our **Kernels**, added the latest **[Mesa v17.3.2][2]**, renewed **Systemd** and released the latest **[Intel Microcode][3]**, which prevents issues with **Spectre** and **Meltdown**.

We also added some more fixes to **gcc**, which prevents issues with **Spectre** and **Meltdown** and needed [boost rebuild][4]. Additionally we fixed some issues within **Nvidia** drivers and **Octopi**, updated our **Firefox** developer edition, updated our **AMD drivers support**, had some **Python** and **Haskell** rebuilds and the usual **Repo-Cleanups**. **linux316** gained the needed **KPTI** patches.

It is recommended to reboot your system, so microcode updates on Intel and AMD based systems get loaded. Possible with following kernels series: **linux44**, **linux49**, **linux414** and **linux415**. Please avoid other kernel series for now, this includes also realtime kernels.

Remember,** we only continue with our 64bit architecture from now on**. Please adopt to [another distribution][6], if needed on 32bit supported systems, as you may not get any updates on that architecture from us.
