[manjaro-general] [Stable Update] 2018-01-05 – Kernels, KPTI, Plasma, Calamares, TLP

[![system_software_update][1]][1]Hi community,

we hope you all had a great start into 2018! We are happy to present the first **stable** update for 2018. Thx to your feedback we could fix [some issue within **[tlp**][2], updated **Plasma** to **[v5.11.5][3]**, worked on **Calamares** and fixed some regressions in **update-notifier**.

Additionally we worked close with upstream to include the **kernel page-table-isolation** into most of our LTS kernels. More about our effort and all the needed information about the new security risk can be found [here][4].

Remember,** we only continue with our 64bit architecture from now on**. Please adopt to [another distribution][5], if needed on 32bit supported systems, as you may not get any updates on that architecture from us.

Please report back and give us feedback for given changes made to our repositories.
