[manjaro-dev] [next-stable] Manjaro 0.8.9 scheduled for February

Hi community,

this is the current status with our Manjaro 0.8.9 development so far. We 
managed to stabilize our graphical installer and added new and needed 
features to it. Pamac supports now AUR and Manjaro Settings Manager can 
handle now mhwd requests. We are currently talking about which kernel we 
will use in our next stable release. So stay tuned what will come next.

  * 2013-12-28: release of public preview (xfce only)
  * 2013-12-31: release of public preview (openbox only)
  * 2014-01-01: release of public preview (kde only)
  * 2014-01-12: release of public preview 2 (if needed)
  * 2014-01-19: release of public release candidate 1 (xfce, openbox,
    kde, net)
  * 2014-01-26: release of public release candidate 2 (if needed)
  * 2014-02-09: release of Manjaro 0.8.9 (xfce, openbox, kde, net)

*Changes in Thus (so far)*

  * code cleanup and restructure
  * added home dir to automatic mode
  * fixed resizing in language slide
  * fixed parted issues in advanced mode
  * added a logging message when an unknown exception is thrown in
    installation_process
  * added encfs for home-dir encryption: pam_encfs is needed
  * fixed GUID partition table creation in advanced
  * fixed UEFI support
  * luks and lvm in automatic mode is now enabled
  * removed backported chroot code from live-installer (old python2 code)
  * modified grub installation
  * reordered slides: language > location > check > timezone > keymap >
    ask > (automatic, alongside, advanced) > user_info > slides
  * fixed swap partition detection in advanced mode
  * fixed swapoff in advanced mode
  * mount source squashfs only when not already mounted
  * fixed myhomepath in partition_module
  * fixed verbose error messages
  * use 'sudo -E' directly in thus script
  * some strings got updated
  * keyboard layout generator added
  * code optimizations
  * advanced mode should detect now all supported filesystems properly
  * proper btrfs support
  * updated translations

  * proper AUR support
  * code cleanups
  * bugfixes

*Changes in Manjaro Settings Manager*

  * added translation support
  * translated to: English, Asturian, Catalan, Czech, German, Hindi,
    Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian,
    Spanish, Turkish
