Build a list of conflicting packages and decide whether you can remove
them prior to performing the upgrade. Once you have a "solution" you can
reinstall those packages afterwards. You should find that system
packages won't conflict or will have a viable resolution so it will be
mainly AUR packages that you are removing.

Once you have the repo packages updated you can then move on to
rebuilding/reinstalling any AUR packages.
